Along The River

Description

This painting is based on a scene in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I was experimenting with Fauvism. I wanted to use bold, expressive color and work on the simplification of form. For me, this was very challenging. I did not emulate the expressive paint application that the “Wild Beasts” were known for; instead I choose a more controlled approach.
