In the Smokies

Description

I created this painting when I was trying to think like a Fauvist. I was experimenting with a more textured surface and a more expressive and unnatural use of color to force me out of my rote realistic depictions of the landscape. While very tame compared to the Fauves, it was an important piece in my journey.
