John White Scoutmaster
- Description
This was a commissioned piece for the retiring Scoutmaster of Troop 835 in Wright City, Missouri. He had dedicated twenty years of his life to molding and influencing boys to become men. In his time of service, he helped eighteen scouts obtain the rank of Eagle. It was very rewarding to attend the presentation and luncheon held in his honor and to see the many past scouts that came back from jobs and school. Some even honored the man who had so inspired them by sending video congratulations from their military posts overseas. The composition depicts multiple scenes of scouting adventures and activities. The highlight for many was the depiction of John in his famous hammock taking a nap.
